Sheriff’s job needs broader experience

To the editor:

There is a great deal of difference between the job of being a County Sheriff and the job of Police Officer-Investigator. The position of Sheriff requires a much broader skill set, perhaps not as detailed in certain areas, but much broader in scope. The Sheriff plans, budgets, delegates, and supervises, with the fine-tuned ability to know which people and what resources to delegate in each situation. The Sheriff is a County department head, working not only in the most efficient way for the County Board, but all the citizens of the county, and working with all other law enforcement agencies, city, county, state, and federal.

Jason Seidl has extensive experience in the operations of the Sheriffs Department. He is professional and respectful to all, wanting to give the highest level of service in all situations. This is evidenced by his responses at the LWV forum and the many letters of support from the law enforcement community and the community at large.

Please vote for Jason Seidl for Brown County Sheriff next Tuesday.
