To the editor:

God is sifting the chaff from the wheat. (Deuteronomy 13:3) President Trump nominated a Christian to be secretary of the Army, Mark Green a physician who once served alongside Army Special Operations troops. He is also a Tennessee State Senator and a Christian. Mark Green believes in the Bible.

Advocacy groups for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and other people that are against the Bible immediately launched an effort on Capitol Hill to block his nomination after it was announced April 7. As a result, Mr. Green turned down the nomination. What would you and I have done?

Recently President Trump nominated Russ Vought to be Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Did you find anything on the news about the Senate confirmation hearing for Mr. Vought? The hearing in which Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) basically said, that Christians should not be allowed to hold jobs in the government? In the early 1930’s, in Germany, the Jewish people were not allowed to hold government jobs, they were not allowed to be school teachers, city clerks, or mayor of a city and etc…

God is testing His people in this country. (Matthew 10:32-33) Is the Bible written just for a story book to read or do those words have meaning? Do we really have to follow them to have salvation? If you have not heard of these things on the news you might ask; why is so much time spent on blaming one person for e-mails that someone else wrote? Pray for our leaders. Pray that they endeavor to restore the sanctity of life, families, divine order, and morality in our nation.
