Denying reporters access – what is gov’t hiding?

To the editor:

Thank you for your level-headed and balanced editorial about “fake news” in the Thursday edition of The Journal. Finding the real facts in all of the misdirection and outright lying has been difficult since campaign time. And I honestly believe that more needs to be done to keep mainstream news reporters in press conferences. Not allowing any reporter in, although legal, sends a very ominous message that our government might be trying to hide something. We must all diligently check the so-called facts we are fed, and insist that all media sources be allowed to report, whether our president likes what they say or not. Where do I go when I come across a report that seems off? I go straight to the sources I trust – the mainstream media.
