One supporter’s view of Obama
To the editor:
Jonathan Turley is a law professor who has voted for Obama and who agrees with many of his policies. Yet he has said, “To be clear, I do not view President Obama as a dictator, but I do view him as a danger in his aggregation of executive power. It is not his motives bu his means that I question. … We are now at the constitutional tipping point for our system.”
In 2008 Obama attacked Bush for increasing executive power asn bypassing Congress, and had promised to reverse this if elected. As Rufus Miles puts it: “Where you stand depends on where you sit.
