Easter – You’ve just got to believe

There have been many TV shows, books and documentaries over the years that purport to look for the “historic Jesus.” They seek documentary evidence of the life, words and actions of Jesus to verify what is written in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Of course, there isn’t much. There are no archives of news reports, historical accounts, no film or video. Yet today, 2,000 or so years after the events, some 2.2 billion people around the world are Christians who believe that not only did Jesus live, but that He is the son of God, and that three days after He was brutally executed by crucifixion, He rose from the dead, and that today is the day we celebrate that event.

Christians do that without being offered definitive physical proof. It’s a matter of faith. And that faith has transformed the world.

To all believers, Happy Easter.
