Mack, by a hair

In the race for the New Ulm Councilor at Large, also known as the Council President, New Ulm voters have two well-qualified and appealing candidates.

Larry Mack is the current city councilor for the 4th Ward. Andrea Boettger is also running for the seat. She is currently the general manager at Turner Hall, a position she has filled ably for the past several years as Turner Hall society has continued its fundraising and improvement projects.

Mack has served on the city council six yars, and is well versed in council procedure. He has a reputation for listening and learning from constituents and city staff. Boettger has leadership experience, experience in dealing with budgets and special projects, and in building consensus among groups that may have different objectives.

Mack is the sixth generation of his family to live in New Ulm, and has a deeply rooted appreciation for New Ulm history. Boettger is the head caretaker of one of New Ulm’s most important pieces of living history.

Both are motivated by a desire to guide and lead New Ulm to a better future. Both, we feel, can do the job. New Ulm voters really couldn’t go wrong with picking either one.

We give our endorsement to Larry Mack. His experience as a councilor gives him the edge over Boettger.
