She was born June 2, 1936, in rural Renville County, MN, to Arthur and Ada (Anderson) Kottom.

In 1955, she married Arthur W. Lang, moving to New Ulm, MN in 1959. She left the garment factory for 3M in 1962. Her years at 3M involved production line and quality control, upon retirement in 2002, they relocated to Spicer, MN.

Her feisty, spunky attitude and sarcastic wit will be missed by all.

Margaret is survived by her children; Theresa Lang (Shoreview/Spicer, MN) and Daniel Lang (Pamela) of Henderson, NV; two grandchildren Jacqueline Stephenson (Brent) of Henderson, NV and Brennan Lang (Rachel) of Las Vegas, NV; three great daughters; Collette and Penelope Stephenson and Wyatt Lang; Her brother Kenneth Kottom Fridley, MN, Ardyce Tamburro (Don) Westlake Village, CA, and Linda Lecy (Harlan) Echo, MN., as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Arthur), brothers Richard (Dick) and Gerald, sisters Delores and LaVaune, and son-in-law Leo Schmeltzer.
