Brian Lieder
NEW ULM–Brian Lieder, age 41 of New Ulm, died unexpectedly from health complications on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Abbott Northwestern hospital in Minneapolis. Brian is survived by his partner of 14 years, Tanisha Medina of New Ulm; children, Faith Lieder of South Carolina, Jane Lieder, Isabella Lieder, and Ellie Lieder all of New Ulm, and baby boy on the way, Brian Wayne Lieder II; sister, Breanna Wear of Hanska; cousin, Justin Domeier; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Brian Wayne Lieder was born November 4, 1984 in New Ulm to Glen and Brenda (Domeier) Lieder. He attended New Ulm Area Catholic Schools through 8th grade, then River Bend Education District. Brian was blessed with four daughters. He was loving father with a generous spirit. He was always ready to lend a hand, offer support, or bring comfort to those around him. Brian found happiness in the things that sparked his imagination and nostalgia. Brian enjoyed legos and playing video games and had a passion for collecting old toys, especially beloved characters like Ewoks and Stormtroopers from Star Wars, as well as Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas. He was a true fan of cinema and appreciated films of all kinds, along with a wide range of music genres. Above all else, Brian treasured time spent with his family. They were the center of his world and the source of his greatest pride. His kindness, warmth, and enduring love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew him.
