MORGAN–Scott Russell Rose, 56, died Wednesday February 25, 2026, at his home peacefully-unexpectedly. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at United Methodist Church in Morgan, MN, with lunch to follow. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4 and presume one hour prior to the funeral service at church. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Scott, son of Russell and Karen (Laube) Rose, was born November 10, 1969, in Sleepy Eye, MN. Scott grew up on the family farm in rural Sleepy Eye. He graduated from Cedar Mountain High School in 1988, where he was active in FFA, football and continued his education at Willmar Technical College where he studied Farm Operation Management.
He married Jennifer Caspers on August 29,1998 at Morgan United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Rose; his wife, Jennifer; and their children, Taylor and special friend Bradee Brown, Maddison (Issac) Froehlich, and Paige Rose; siblings Todd (Jody) Rose, Jayme (Susan) Rose, Amy (Robert) Mithun brother in-law Pete (Taran) Caspers, sister in-laws Jean (Mark) Simmet, Mary Caspers-Graper (David Graper), Heather (Eli) Reeve Nieces and Nephews Kristina (David) Janke, Rachelle (Nate) Buck, Brady (Brittany) Rose, Alyssa (Chris) Richardson, Chandler (Taylor) Rose, Brittany, Jessica, Nate Rose, Brooke, Tayla, Hailey Teberg, Shealee, Alexa Mithun, Jon (Rachel) Caspers, Dustin Caspers, Tyann (Ivan) Wolfensperger, Donnie Simmet, Willa Simmet (Kay Guyer), Brady Reeve, Stephanie Reeve, and great nieces & nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Russell, his sister Vicky Burdick, and brother in-law Perry Caspers father in-law and mother in-law Donald and Druzella Caspers.
Scott started farming with his father who also ran a farrow to finish operation and then after his father’s retirement on his own, raising crops and custom finishing hogs for Schwartz Farms. He had a love for farming ever since he was a child and took great pride in his operation continuing to grow and make improvements to it. His daughter Taylor started farming with him and recently his son in-law Issac, while Maddison and Paige loved their numerous combine rides with him.
He was a lifelong member of Morgan United Methodist Church and served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Morgan Area Jaycees for many years.
Scott took great pride in his family and relished watching his daughters grow over the years through their many activities. He was the best “girl dad” ever! He, Jennifer, and the girls adored spending time together both at home and on many family vacations.
He was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed attending Vikings games with Jennifer, his daughters, and many close friends.
