Nancy is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Michael Stark; children, Polly (Tommy) Glaser, New Ulm, MN, and James (Jessie) Stark, Buckeye, AZ; grandchildren, Calyn and Graham Glaser; sisters Claire (David) Frame, Charlotte Wanstrom; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Donald Wanstrom.
Nancy Jane Wanstrom was born on April 3, 1948, to Leverne and Jeanette (Julius) Wanstrom. She graduated from Gibbon High School in 1966 and beauty college shortly after. She was united in marriage to Michael Stark on July 4, 1975. Nancy worked at Pamida briefly and was hired at 3M in 1973 where she retired on March 1, 2007, after 33 years.
Nancy loved Jesus, her family, her grandchildren, and all her friends wholeheartedly. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her kindness, her joy, and the way she loved everyone around her. She found happiness in the music of Elvis, a smile shared with a stranger or a loved one, the joy of sending and receiving cards to let someone know they are remembered. She had a creative spirit and could be found crafting with friends or in her craft room pouring love into every detail. She enjoyed going to Branson with the Travel Bags, watching her grandchildren play sports, the Seniors Rock group, the Red Hats, coin collecting, watching baseball and basketball (Twins and Timberwolves until she moved to Arizona and her teams became the Diamondbacks and Suns), playing games and cards, and Jell-O. Nancy’ s passing was sudden. We will cherish the countless treasured memories, and her smile will always be remembered by those that knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and joy. While we will miss her deeply, we find comfort knowing she is at peace, smiling, and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.
