NEW ULM–James J. Schmidt, age 93, of New Ulm, died Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Ridgeway on German in New Ulm. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel. A private memorial service will be held.
