FAIRFAX–Inga L. Beltz, age 96, of Fairfax passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Prairie View of Hector in Hector, MN. Memorial Service will be Friday, November 21, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Central Lutheran Church, Camp Township, Renville County, MN, with Pastor Kent Krumwiede officiating. Interment will be in Hauges Cemetery, Camp Township. Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. (one hour prior) to the service, ALL at church.
Inga Louise Beltz was born on April 16, 1929, in Franklin, MN. She was the daughter of Lars and Louise (Thompson) Distad. Inga was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in her faith, both at Central Lutheran Church. She received her education in Franklin and was a graduate of the Franklin High School Class of 1947.
On March 7, 1954, Inga was united in marriage to Curtis Beltz at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, MN. After their marriage, the couple farmed and resided in rural Franklin. They were blessed with one son, Ronald. Inga was employed at Nash Motors, Dickmeyer Motor Company and the First National Bank in Fairfax, retiring in 2006, but continued to work there for many more years. Inga and Curtis shared 29 years of marriage, when Curtis passed away on January 21, 1984.
Inga was a life-long member of Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, member and officer of the ladies aid and past treasurer of the church. Inga lived in Fairfax/Franklin her entire life and had many cherished friendships with members of the church, CountryView Assisted Living, co-workers at the bank, Fairfax coffee group and many others in the community.
Inga enjoyed crosswords, reading and playing on her iPad. She cherished the time she spent with her son, grandchildren great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Inga loved to spend time with extended family including many nieces and nephews and never missed a celebration.
Inga is survived by her son, Ronald Beltz and his wife, Lisa of Aiken, SC; grandchild, Allison Peterson and her husband, Tom of Kandiyohi, MN; great-grandchildren, Dylan Kroes, Morgan Kroes, Derik (Tianna) Peterson; great-great-grandchildren, Ariana Kroes, Scarlett Peterson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Inga was preceded in death by her parents, Lars and Louise Distad; husband, Curtis Beltz; siblings, Joseph Distad, Arthur Distad, Julian Distad and his wife, Lillian, and Gertrude “Trudy” Stuth and her husband, Lloyd.
