SPICER–Jason James Roiger, 45, of Spicer, formerly of Springfield, passed away on September 11th, 2025, at the Westbrook Medical Center.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 17th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springfield, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery.Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Jason was born on October 9th, 1979, to Cheryl (Lyle) and Arland Roiger in Springfield. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1998 and furthered his education at MN West-Granite Falls. From there he started his career in Milwaukee, WI, living there for 14 years before relocating to Spicer. Jason enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, watching sports, attending concerts and spending time with family and friends.

Jason is survived by his parents – Arland and Cheryl Roiger of Springfield; brother – Justin “Gus” (Carrie) Roiger of Springfield; sister – Stephanie (Andy) Huiras of Sleepy Eye; nieces – Tori and Taylor Roiger and Harper Huiras; nephew – Hayden Huiras; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and especially his close friends from Spicer.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents – Grover and Marjorie Lyle; Perry and Irene Roiger; step grandma – Marie Roiger; uncles – Dennis Lyle, Tom Altermatt and Joseph Lang Jr. and a cousin – Erin Roiger.
