Keith Lomax

MANKATO–Keith Lomax, age 73, of Mankato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 5, 1952, Keith worked for many years as a skilled meat cutter, serving the communities of Owatonna, New Ulm, and Mankato.
Keith was a passionate fisherman who found joy on the water. Whether casting a line at dawn or telling stories at dusk, fishing was more than a hobby — it was his way of connecting with the world and those around him. More than anything, he loved being a grandfather and cheering on his eight grandchildren at their activities. His steady presence and warm smile were constants in their lives.
Keith is survived by his three beloved daughters: Jennifer (Ken) Athmann, Melissa (Scott) Krusemark, Nicole (Paul) Buske. He is also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren, Ellie, Andrew, Will, Joey, Asher, Annie, Brock and Piper. He leaves behind his companion and dearest friend, Marie Prom. He is also remembered fondly by his former wife and friend, Sue Lomax.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Keith’s life at a date in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend a day fishing or attending a loved one’s event in his memory.
