Diana Lambrecht

NEW ULM–Diana Lambrecht, age 77, of New Ulm, passed away on August 27, 2025. She was born August 24, 1948, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Adney and Elsie Sundstrom, and spent most of her life in New Ulm.

Diana married the love of her life, Ken, in 1969, and together they built a home filled with warmth, creativity, and love.

She had a gift for beauty and imagination. An amazing interior decorator, landscape artist, flower gardener, and crafter, she could take a plain space and turn it into something extraordinary. She loved tending to her award-winning yard, refinishing old furniture, and building birdhouses that brought new life to her gardens.

She was also an avid reader and a devoted fan of Motown music, and she especially cherished family game nights, where her quick wit and laughter always lit up the table. She loved spending time with her dear friends, cousins, and in-laws, including coffee with the girls on Thursdays.

Diana’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband Ken; brother Dick; children Scott and Paige (Justin); and grandsons August and Alex, who brought her endless happiness.

Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, September 12th, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.
