John Alfred Maidl
SAUK RAPIDS–John Alfred Maidl, age 76, of Sauk Rapids passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 AM on August 9th at St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont, MN, with Father Dobbs officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to services, and John will be laid to rest at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls at a later date.
John is survived by his daughter, Laura Nutt of Fairmont; sons, Joseph (Erin) Maidl of Fairmont, and John Jr. (Tina) Maidl of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Thea, Josh, Joseph, Ryann, Serenity, and Arya; great-grandchildren, Sidney, Jebidiah, Madison, Clara, Evelyn, Maycee, and Jethro; siblings, Kathleen (William) Janski of Rice, Wallace Maidl of Rice, Robert (Asuncion) Maidl of Sauk Rapids, Leona Wagner of Rice, Merry Ann Yell of Sauk Rapids, Marleen Maidl of St. Cloud, and Lois Boe of St. Cloud; and sisters-in-law, Rose Maidl of Sartell and Elaine Maidl of Cokato.
He is preceded in death by his parents, spouse/partner Diane (Miller) Maidl, and brothers, Gerry and Richard Maidl.
