MARSHALL–Fred Phillip Buysse, age 66, of Marshall passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home in Cottonwood.

A celebration of life was held in Marshall.

Fred is survived by his children, Jake (Shanna) Buysse, Samantha Buysse; siblings, Linda (Howard) Parks, Marlene Blake, Madeline Lorentz, Elizabeth Buysse, Denise (Dave) Nelson, Diane (Dan) Cochran, Dale (Denise) Buysse; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Viola Buysse; step-mother, Agnes Buysse; and siblings, Wally Lee, Larry Wegscheid, and Debbie Finnson.

Fred Phillip Buysse was born November 5, 1958 to Henry and Viola Buysse. He graduated from Tyler High School and enlisted in the Army National Guard. In addition to serving, Fred began his career working for Schwan’s in Marshall. He was united in marriage to Trudy and they had two children, Jake and Samantha. The couple later divorced. Fred’s career continued by driving concrete truck and trucking in general. In his free time, Fred loved maintaining his Chevy trucks, working in his shop, and hunting near Park Rapids with his brother, Wally. He will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
