Memorial service will be 12 noon on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm, with Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Joyce is survived by her children, Deborah (Anthony) Foty, Michael Fliflet, and Sue (Mike) Flowers; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Dronen; brother-in-law, David Klosner; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Duane Fliflet; significant other, Robert Manderfeld; brothers, Clifford Dronen and Neil Dronen; and sister, Mavis Klosner.

Joyce Elaine Dronen was born on March 30, 1944 in Finley, ND to Bertram & Pearl (Jacobson) Dronen. She was married to Duane Fliflet in 1962. Together they had three children. They later divorced in 1981.

In 1993, she met Robert Manderfeld and they enjoyed a loving relationship until Robert’s passing in 2008. They loved going on trips together to places like Branson, MO. and Deadwood, S.D. Joyce liked going to local festivals where she could listen to Old Time music like Smiley Wiltscheck & the Bockfest Boys, and Sherwin Linton. She loved our family gatherings where we would grill out and spend time laughing about funny stories. She enjoyed feeding birds, loved cardinals and seeing her American flag blow in the wind.

We look forward to seeing her at her heavenly home. May her soul rest in peace.
