Jayne Lynette Buerkle was born July 16, 1956 to Raymond and Helen (Baer) Buerkle in Sleepy Eye. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1974 and went on to earn her nursing degree at Normandale College. On June 24, 1978, Jayne was united in marriage to Ralph Ruschmeyer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Their union was blessed with four children. In addition to being a wife and mother, Jayne worked 40 years as a nurse. Her career brought her to the Gaylord Hospital, Glencoe Hospital, and Olivia Hospital, where she retired in 2018. Outside of work, Jayne enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family. She was a member of a sewing club, book club, and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Moltke Township where she was a LWL member and Sunday school teacher. Many cherished memories were made going on annual family camping trips, traveling and going on tours with Ralph, and spending as much time as possible with her beloved grandchildren. Jayne will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
