NEW ULM–Marcia Ann White, age 82, of New Ulm, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home- SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm, with Pastor Scott Oelhafen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. The visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Marcia is survived by her daughters Dede White and Cori White; sons Kevin White, Brad (Tammy) White, Greg (Kelly) White, and Curt Jr. (Nikki) White; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Miller; brother-in-law Ron Bolduan and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Anna (Schmit) Miller; her husband, Curtis White; and her sisters, Sandy Miller, Lavon (Wes) Smith, Diane Maidl, and Linda Bolduan; brothers, Mike, Jim, Gerald, and Wally Miller.
Marcia was born on January 25, 1943, in New Ulm. She attended Saint Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Trinity Cathedral in 1962. On December 30, 1962, she married Curtis White, and together they raised six children in New Ulm.
Marcia worked at New Ulm Telecom for 22 years until retiring due to disability in 1989. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she served as both president and vice president of the Ladies’ Aid. From around 1996, she volunteered regularly at the Senior Center and the coffee shop at the hospital.
She found joy in driving in the women’s division of stock car races, doing volunteer work, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marcia will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice.
