Margaret “Blod” Nonnemacher

NEW ULM–Margaret “Blod” Nonnemacher, age 100, of New Ulm passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel in New Ulm. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel in New Ulm. Margaret is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Leon Olsen, Nan Nonnemacher, all of New Ulm; grandchildren, Ashley Olsen, Alyssa Guggisberg, Danielle (Jamie) Havemeier, Tyler Polzin; great grandchildren, Alexander “AJ” Guggisberg, Jackson Newgord, Jayven Orlawski, Cheyenne Havemeier; and sister-in-law, Helen Nonnemacher of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Boobie” Nonnemacher; son, Wallace Robert Nonnemacher in 1968; her parents, Samuel and Pearle Warner; sister, Inez Speidahl; and brothers, Warren, Merle, Lyle, Howard, and Harold Warner.
Margaret Blodwen Warner was born February 24, 1925 to Samuel and Pearle (Evans) Warner in Judson Township. She graduated high school from Lake Crystal High School. On June 10, 1950, Margaret was united in marriage to Walter Nonnemacher in Mankato. The couple owned and operated their own dry-cleaning business for twelve years in Wabasso and from 1968-1989 in New Ulm. After retirement, Margaret continued to dedicate her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by taking them to sporting events, fun days together, and countless adventures in her car. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing. Margaret will be fondly remembered for her signature homemade angel food cakes and frosting for everyone’s birthday. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
