NEW ULM–Daniel “Dan” William Rose, 74 of New Ulm died on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel in New Ulm.  Father Mark Steffl will officiate the service, and ennichement will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery Columbarium in New Ulm, where full military honors will be provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel prior to the service. Dan is survived by his daughter, Danielle Brown of Paola, Kansas; his son, Daniel W. Rose II of Osawatomie, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Chaseton, Kinzlie, and Kyson Brown; and his ex-wife, Vona Keele of Greeley, Kansas. The full obituary will follow in a later edition of The Journal.
