LAKE CRYSTAL–David Ross Laborde of Lake Crystal, MN passed away on October 19, 2024. David was born on January 14, 1943 in Mankato, MN to parents Raymond and Lucy (Cole) Laborde. David worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm, MN for several years before farming full-time until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed fabricating parts to fix his machinery.

David was married to Ramona (Mentjes) Laborde and had two sons, Ricky and Mark Laborde.

David’s hobbies included traveling and climbing mountains throughout western United States. He enjoyed white water rafting on rivers in Wyoming, an experience he was able to share with his children and grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Ramona, sons Ricky (Mandy) Laborde and Mark (Rebecca) Laborde, grandsons Wyatt and Waylon Laborde, his brother Roy (Betty) Laborde, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – South Chapel in New Ulm. Chaplain Jerry David will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – South Chapel in New Ulm.
