SLEEPY EYE–Linus Stanley Deibele, 96 of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota died on May 17, 2024, at his home in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye Chapel. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 am. The clergy will be Pastor Tim Berg. Interment will be at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Military Honors will be provided by Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.  On February 20, 1946, Linus served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy.  Linus is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn Deibele of Sleepy Eye; children, Connie Helget of Springfield, Jayne Borth of Sleepy Eye, Tom Deibele of Sleepy Eye, and Jim Deibele of Springfield; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph; and grandson, Joshua.
