Steven “Dawg” Donald Sprenger

NEW ULM–Steven “Dawg” Donald Sprenger, age 73, passed away on Friday, March 29th, 2024 at the J.A. Wedum Hospice Residence in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Steve is survived by his girlfriend of many years Linda Fischer of Springfield, MN. He is also survived by daughters Stephanie (Mark) Wardlaw of Paris, TN and Tessa (Brandon) Matter of Courtland, MN; grandchildren William and Anna Wardlaw of Paris, TN, Emmalee (Cain) Sims of St. Peter, Ethan, Ellie and Owen Matter of Courtland, MN; 1 great-grandson, Cade Sims; siblings Donna (Bob) Ludewig, Eileen (Ken) Kryzmarzick, Jim (Elaine) Sprenger, Mary (Don) Isenberg, Barb (Jon) Fairchild, Sue (Kurt) Beilke, Carol (Gary) Schnobrich and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews .
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bob Ludewig.
Steve was born in New Ulm, MN to the late Donald Sprenger and Marie (Portner) Sprenger on February 26th, 1951. He grew up in Milford Township and later worked at and co-owned Northside Garage and Alignment. He was a proud member of the National Guard, retiring after 20+ years of service. He was best known as an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and a lifetime member of the Flying Dutchman Motorcycle Club.
We will be celebrating his life on Friday, April 19th from 4-8 p.m. at the American Legion Post #132 in New Ulm.
