NEW ULM–Archie Daleiden, age 92 of New Ulm died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at his home in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11am on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. A visitation will be held from 9-10:30am on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel in New Ulm. Archie is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Olson of Mankato and Dave Olson of New Ulm and their children, Mike and Shawn of New Ulm, Denise and TJ Campbell of Dallas, TX and their children Preston (Valeen) of Tampa, FL and Tiara of Eden Prairie, Rene and Lou Liu of Eden Prairie and their children, Elizabeth, Lily, and Lexie of Eden Prairie; great-grandchildren, Amara Olson and Macey Olson of New Ulm and Mia Campbell and Jax Campbell of Tampa, FL; other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary; grandson, Chad Olson; twin brother, Arthur; sisters, Evelyn and Marianne.

Archie Christopher Daleiden was born with his twin brother, Arthur, on September 2, 1931 in Montgomery to Thomas and Mary (Wondra) Daleiden and was raised on the family farm. Archie graduated from Montgomery High School in 1949 and furthered his education at Dunwoody and the University of Minnesota. Archie served in the Army from 1953-1955. Archie was united in marriage to Grace Sheehan on October 16, 1957 in Montgomery. Their union was blessed with three daughters, whom together they raised in New Ulm. Archie spent his entire career working as a State Park Manager for the DNR. In his free time, Archie enjoyed gardening, counting socks and garden veggies, and reading. He volunteered as a tax preparer for over 20 years. He was a member of Friends of Flandrau and Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Above all, Archie cherished time spent with his family. Many memories were made and will live on in all who loved and knew him. Blessed be his memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mayo Health Systems in Mankato.
