NEW ULM–Steven L. Poulson, age 76, of New Ulm, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home.

Steven is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Lisa Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Lyle (Kari) Poulson of New Ulm; four granddaughters, Courtney (Austin) Foote, Myranda Shaw, and Ramsey and Camryn Poulson; three step-grandchildren, Thomas, Natalie and William Schwartz; two great-granddaughters, Vivian and Hazel Foote; a brother, Michael Poulson; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Huckey; and a brother, William Poulson.

Steven Lyle Poulson was born on February 1, 1947, in Des Moines, IA to Lyle & Virginia (Hengel) Poulson. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970. Steven was united in marriage to Karen Colleen Lenertz on April 13, 1971, in Kasota, MN. He was employed at Kraft Foods in New Ulm until his retirement. Steven enjoyed ice fishing, playing cards, camping, playing games on the computer at the public library, exercising at the Rec Center, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his brother, Bill.
