SPRINGFIELD–Gary Lee Reese, 67, of Springfield, MN died on October 22, 2023, at New Ulm Medical Center. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Thursday, October 26 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Father Jeremy Kucera. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, Minnesota. Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy; children – Jennifer (Brian) Runck of Sanborn, Jason (Alicia) Reese of Springfield, and Jordan (Rachel) Reese of St. Clair; 12 grandchildren – Tabor, Courtlyn and Paxton Runck, Jada, Noelle, Mya and Bentley Reese, and Ian, Silas, Rory, Stella and Jase Reese; sisters – Trish (Duane) Engler of Minnetonka, Karin (Karl) Ramey of Redwood Falls; brothers – Larry Reese of Arizona, Jack (Jody) Reese of Sartell and sister-in-law, LaVonne Reese of Sanborn. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Leonard Zimmerli; brother, Steve Reese; mother and father-in-law, Rose and Charles VanHecke.
