Randy was blessed with a spiritual light and he believed in Jesus. He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and was a 1969 graduate of New Ulm High School. Randy was united in marriage to Sharon Hacker on May 28, 1977. One of Randy’s best qualities was how undeniably happy he was. It spilled into all he did and everyone that he met. One of Randy’s favorite hobbies was being the mechanic on a Road Course Trans Am race team. He enjoyed spending time with his special race friends Robert Lundeen and Morey Ehleringer. Randy enjoyed volunteering at MVL and also being the bus manager for that location of Palmer Bus Service. Randy had a love of the farm. In his lifetime, he raised many chickens, hogs, dairy cows, grain and grass-fed beef, and the grain in the fields. He took great pride in being a farmer. For 57 years, he farmed the land that his grandfather homesteaded. Randy was always volunteering his time and talents to the many friends and neighbors he knew. Randy was a jack of all trades. He could fix just about anything that needed fixing, be it electrical, plumbing, mechanical, you name it. Randy’s special saying was, “When things break, modify, adapt & improvise. If we can’t fix it, who will?”

Randy believed in helping God’s people. He helped to create the non-profit called, MN Brain

Injury Force (MNBIF). He built an office and storage area for MNBIF, donated thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours every year to help the stroke and brain injury survivors.

Randy was a hardworking, faithful, and caring man who touched many lives. He will be always remembered and never forgotten. Blessed be his memory.

In lieu of flowers please donate to MN Brain Injury Force.
