Everette (Jack) Brush Jr. was born July 25th, 1944 in South St. Paul to Everette and Angeline (Galba) Brush. Jack grew up in St. Paul Park and later graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1962. He was united in marriage to Sharon Geiger on February 6th, 1965 at The Cathedral of The Holy Trinity Church in New Ulm. Jack worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm for over 49 years, retiring in 2011. After retiring he worked part-time washing vehicles at the Tunnel Car Wash in New Ulm. Outside of work, he enjoyed going to Jackpot with Sharon, fishing with his close friend, Dick Wills, and early morning stops at Kwik Trip for the newspaper, scratch off lottery tickets, and a little conversation.
He also enjoyed playing softball with the Kraft Softball team as their 2nd baseman, was an avid bowler and belonged to a Saturday Night Couples League with his loving wife.
Jack was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and was the number one fan of his grandchildren in any event they participated in. More than anything, he enjoyed time with his family. With 6 daughters, 19 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren (plus a 23rd on the way), Jack was either attending baptisms or birthday parties, confirmations or graduations, and countless ball games. He especially enjoyed watching granddaughter Joey and the Minnesota State Mankato Women’s Basketball team. He would share stories about his family with anyone who was willing to listen. He was a fabulous cook and his family especially loved his jambalaya, ribs, and Sunday morning breakfasts. Jack will be missed by all who knew him, blessed be his memory.
