NEW ULM–Lucille Mary Porter, age 91, formerly of New Ulm died peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at her home at Cannon Rivers Senior Living Community in Cannon Falls.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm. Pastor Nick Scutari will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the church prior to the service.

Lucille is survived by her grandchildren, Micah, and Malachi Porter; her sister, Marlene UIrich of Cannon Falls; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Porter in 2015; her sons, Gregory in 2003 and Bradley in 2015; and her brothers, Lyle, and Marvin Wilhite.
Lucille Mary Wilhite was born December 1, 1931, in Brookfield Township-Renville County, Minnesota to Raymond and Georgia (DeLong) Wilhite. Growing up in central Minnesota, she was a 1949 graduate from Hector High School. Lucille was united in marriage to the love of her life, Allen E. Porter on August 31, 1957, in Hector. This union blessed the couple with two sons whom together they raised in New Ulm. Besides being a loving mother, home-maker, and wife, Lucille also worked outside of the home as a book keeper and store clerk for many years. She was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm. Blessed be her memory.
