He is survived by his sister Denise M. Horner of New Ulm, special friend Stacy Rewitzer of New Ulm, his wife Karen (Lawson) Austad of Alvord, TX, his daughter Dakota Austad and son Travis (Alexis) Austad; grandson Titus of Alvord, TX; several neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his parents. Vern Austad and Kathleen (Horner) Konakowitz, his step-father Delmar Konakowitz, his sister Carla (Austad) Johnson, grandparents Carl and Leona Austad and Edward Sr. and Helen Horner.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Sympathy cards are to be sent to his sister Denise M. Horner, 310 S. State St. New Ulm, MN 56073 as she is handling the communication for his family.
