Bruce “Eddie” Edward Timmerman Jr. was born June 22, 1949, in Jacksonville, Florida to Lelia (Daye) and Bruce Timmerman Sr. He was a 1967 graduate from high school in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later attained his degree in Education from the University of Texas in El Paso. Eddie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for over eight-and-a-half years where he served in Vietnam as well as Germany. Eddie worked his career as a dedicated school teacher in South Carolina, teaching middle school and high school social studies for many years. He was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Eddie was united in marriage to Rebecca “Becky” Cordes on June 20, 1998, in New Ulm. Eddie enjoyed studying history and trivia, but what he enjoyed most in life was getting to travel. He began his travels while in the military where he was able to see Europe when he had time off. Later in life, Eddie and Becky spent many years following Bob Dylan. He frequently said, “I wonder where Bob is taking us next?” as that is how they planned their trips, which eventually led them to Italy and the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. Eddie will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Blessed be his memory.
