Evelyn taught home economics, dietitian aid and special education and taught at various Minnesota schools. Evelyn was a proud educator. Her adventurous spirit took her many places, and she dearly enjoyed talking and telling stories of her life. In her retirement, she volunteered for seven years teaching Native American children on the reservation. She was always up for a good trip to a casino for fun. She spent 20 years researching and writing a book about racial injustice based on an actual court case in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Her last years were spent attempting to interest a film producer to make a movie based on her book.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her in their lives. Blessed be her memory.
