Myron Henry Forstner was born May 8, 1932, in New Ulm to Frank and Veronica (Boettger) Forstner. He attended and graduated from Holy Trinity High School. Myron farmed at home with his family before entering the military, serving in the Air Force. After returning home, Myron met Shirley Stockard. The two were united in marriage on Oct. 4, 1958, in Emily, Minnesota. They were blessed with eight children. They raised their family in New Ulm, Searles, and Sigel Township. In 2008, Myron and Shirley moved to Real Life in New Ulm. Myron was a farmer from the time he was young, including throughout his 30-plus-year career with Kraft Foods. He enjoyed gardening, baseball, watching his grandchildren’s activities and sports, socializing, critiquing food, deer hunting and fishing, which he was able to do a few days before his passing. Above all, Myron loved time with his family. He organized many family reunions and always looked forward to the annual family vacation to Lake Winnibigoshish. Myron was a lifetime member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Myron will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Blessed be his memory.
