He was born on Oct. 15, 1939, to Harry and Mabel (Christensen) Meyer in Springfield, Minnesota.

He married Nancy Goulden of San Francisco in November of 1960.

He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 61 years; sister, Carol Vigeland; daughters, Michelle Schober, and Elizabeth Monroe; and son, Russ Meyer.
