Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and will continue on Saturday for an hour prior to the service at the church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. The clergy will be Rev. Tim Berg.

Interment will be at the Brookville-Dannebod Cemetery in rural Sleepy Eye.

Military rites will be done by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.

Reynold Arlin Christensen was born on Oct. 29, 1950, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Arlin and Melva (Kopischke) Christensen. He formally lived in St. Cloud, Elk River and recently in rural Sleepy Eye. Rey enjoyed cruising around on his gator, hunting, fishing, farming and entertaining friends in his shop. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Christensen; daughter, Melissa (Ian) Hanson; stepdaughters, Melissa (Sean) Fox and Sheila (Paul) Glynn; stepson, Jesse Fox; granddaughters, Gabrielle Gall and Shayla Christensen; grandsons, Landon and Easton Hanson; great-granddaughter, Mila Secory; and sister, Marilyn Arlt. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Christensen; brothers-in law, Dave Arlt and Mark Kodet; sister-in-law, Joyce Deming; and nephew, Michael Deming.
