RoseMary A. Anderson

RoseMary A. Anderson, age 87, of New Ulm, and formerly of Nicollet, died Friday, July 15, 2022, at the Woodstone Senior Living Community in New Ulm.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Norseland Lutheran Church in rural St. Peter. Pastor Kyle Madson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Norseland Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Norseland Lutheran Church.

RoseMary is survived by her sons, Jerome (Shaun), Glenn (Cindy), and Darrell Anderson; daughters, Renee (Neil) Rasmussen and Denise (Roger) Bechly; sisters, Janet (Richard) Benson and Bonnie (Phil) Bailey; brother, Robert (Barb) Plieseis, brother-in-law, Conley Mediger, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

RoseMary was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Anderson; her parents; sisters, Beverly (Hank) Floer, Shirley (Bob) Taylor, Judy Olsson and Laura Mediger; brothers, Martin and Harold Plieseis; and grandson Chayton Anderson.

RoseMary Agnes (Larson) Anderson was born April 24, 1935, to Andrew and Adelia (Wittenberg) Larson in Brown County, Minnesota. Rosemary attended school in Gaylord, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Willard C. Anderson on July 8, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. RoseMary was a homemaker and helped Willard with his farming operation, corn shelling and trucking business. She enjoyed gardening, camping, quilting, playing cards, rolling dice, playing bingo and wintering in Texas. RoseMary was a member of Norseland Lutheran Church in rural St. Peter, Tramper Campers, Good Sam’s and the American Legion Auxiliary. After retirement, Willard and RoseMary moved to Gaylord in 2000, then to Buffalo City, Wisconsin in 2006. Willard and RoseMary moved to Woodstone Assisted Living in New Ulm in June 2021.
