A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at the New Ulm City Cemetery Columbarium. Fellowship will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2022, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes – South Chapel in New Ulm.

Brian is survived by his stepmother Diane Holstein; brothers, Steven (Elizabeth) of New Ulm and Jeff (Tasha) Holstein of New Ulm; Brian (Nancy) Bushee of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Eric Bushee of Mound; brother-in-law, Peter Bailey; and many nieces and nephews and extended family whom he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rollie Holstein; mother, Connie Holstein; and sister, Leah Bailey.

Brian David Holstein was born Oct. 20, 1968, to Rollie and Connie (Raske) Holstein in Owatonna. The family relocated to New Ulm, and Brian graduated from New Ulm High School and worked various jobs throughout his life. He loved listening to loud rock music, getting together for holidays, and spending time with his family. Brian especially loved calling his family, sometimes three or four times a day, just to check in and talk. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
