Dennis Lund

Dennis Lund, 72, of Fairfax, passed away March 20 at his home in Fairfax.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax, with interment in Fort Ridgely Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Military honors will be done by the Fairfax Honor Guard.

Dennis Ervin Lund was born on June 7, 1949, in Sleepy Eye. He was the son of Ervin and Delores (Podratz) Lund.

On February 14, 1968, Dennis entered active military service and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. Dennis was Honorably Discharged on February 13, 1974, having achieved the rank of SP4.

He is survived by his wife, JoDell “Jodi” Lund of Fairfax; sons, Troy Lund of Schaumburg, Illinois, and Shawn Lund of Hutchinson; three grandchildren; sister, Sandra Lund of Sleepy Eye; and brother, Kyle Lund of Fairfax.
