Richard T. Hoffmann

Richard T. Hoffmann, age 71, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.

Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeffrey Bovee officiating.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel and will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at church.

Richard is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Julie (Steve) Thill, Charlotte Hoffmann; sons, Joseph Hoffmann, Andy Lueck; grandchildren, Devon Thill, Kalen Linford and many honorary grandchildren; sister, Lois (Glen) Ferguson and his brother Michael (Elaine) Heitland.

He is preceded by his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willis and Lyla Hadler.

Richard Thomas Hoffmann was born May 19, 1950, to Albert and Vera (Hilleshiem) Hoffmann in St. Paul. He graduated from Cathedral High School and Trade School in Pipestone, MN.

On September 17, 1983, he was united in marriage to Karen Hadler in Mayer, MN. Richard worked for City Meats, Country Kitchen, Bassets Meats, Perkins and Lafayette City Meats. Richard enjoyed black powder shooting, fishing, hunting, playing sheephead and woodworking, but above all else he loved to spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
