Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Springfield Area Community Center.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Springfield Area Community Center.

Thomas Patrick Altermatt was born on Aug. 29, 1955, to Isadore and Bertha (Jenniges) Altermatt in Redwood Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; children: Alicia Gulbranson, Michael Altermatt, Sarah Pack, Isadore Altermatt, Shannon Furth; 12 grandchildren and siblings: Cathy Riegel, John Altermatt, Paul Altermatt, Margaret “Midge” Marcum, Mary Rocheleau, Peter Altermatt, Anne Schwartz and Susan Bierl.
