Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Florence (Drexler) Stadick, and his brother, Dennis (Mary) Stadick.
Lester was born on December 21, 1937 in New Ulm, Minnesota. He grew up on his family’s farm in Sigel township and attended country school and Holy Trinity Grade School. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 where he was stationed in Alaska for 18 months. Upon his return to the area, he spent two years attending Mankato Autobody School. After his schooling, he opened Stadick Body Shop in New Ulm, which he successfully owned and operated for 40 years. He married the love of his life and best friend Karen (Domeier) Stadick on May 11, 1963 at the Cathedral of The Holy Trinity Church, New Ulm. Together they ran the body shop and were blessed with two sons, Terry Stadick (Eagan, MN) and Timothy Stadick (New Ulm.)
Les enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He was able to see most of the 50 states, Europe, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. His most loved mode of transportation was his motorcycle.
Les was a Lifetime Member and Treasurer of the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club and the American Motorcycle Association. The Dutchmen motorcycle club was Lester’s true passion! He enjoyed being actively involved in every event; from races to road runs or club entertainment. He took pride in everything he did for the club; from setting up sound systems, mowing the lawn, watering trees, and of course maintaining very detailed records and paperwork.
Les was also very active in the community as well. He volunteered his time for many area organizations. He was a volunteer for the Relay for Life and American Cancer Society, as well as a member of the American Legion. He is a lifetime member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce, and also a member of the River Valley Dutchmen Snowmobile and the Nicollet Snowmobile clubs. Les enjoyed being a snow groomer for both snowmobile clubs, and helped maintain the area trail system for many years.
If he had any spare time left, Les could often be found at many area events listening to his loved concertina music! He enjoyed sharing his many adventures with his family, grandchildren, club members and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
