A private family memorial service will be held. Pastor Scott Oelhafen will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Bob is survived by his sons, Alan Richter of New Ulm and Michael (Laurie) Richter of Savage; and grandson, Chase Michael Richter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Richter.

Robert “Bob” Norman Richter was born November 7, 1936 in New Ulm. After attending school in New Ulm, Bob enlisted in the Army National Guard and served for eight years. He then worked at Kraft until he retired. Bob was united in marriage to Erma Ella Steinke on May 7, 1960 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He treasured the time they were able to spend together, especially going on their Sunday drives. Bob also enjoyed being outdoors, boating, working on cars, playing cards, and going to get coffee with friends. Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson. Bob will be missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
