Scott Lenard Rudenick was born December 17, 1961, in Mankato to Ronald and Carole (Hohenstein) Rudenick. He attended grade school at Trinity Lutheran School in Nicollet, and was a 1980 graduate from Nicollet High School. On January 25, 1985, Scott was united in marriage to Julie Grommersch in Prior Lake. This union blessed the couple with 3 sons and a daughter whom together they raised on their farm in rural Nicollet. Scott worked his entire career as a dedicated crop and hog farmer and also drove school bus for the Nicollet school district for many years. Scott was a true jack-of-all trades and a talented carpenter. He was able to remodel his own house and even taught shop class in Nicollet for 3 years. He was always there to help his family or a neighbor in need. Many summers were spent with his children working their family sweet corn stand on the corner at the Nicollet Mart. Scott always loved and appreciated nature. He enjoyed working around his farm and tending to his variety of fruit trees. As an avid sports fan, he rarely missed any of his children’s sporting events throughout high school and college. To give back to his community, Scott served on the elevator board as well as the Nicollet Township board. He was a dedicated member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet where he also served on their church council board as well. Scott was proud of his faith, and his farm, but he was most proud of his family. He loved every moment he spent with them, and especially loved getting to see his grandchildren grow. Although time with Scott seems all too brief, countless great memories will forever stay in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him. Blessed be those memories.
