John Richard Seitz, Jr. was born April 3, 1944 to John Sr. and Irene (Franta) Seitz in Sleepy Eye. He attended Cathedral grade school and transferred to New Ulm Public. Dick then enlisted and served in Vietnam, where he learned how to grade roads. After serving his country, Dick returned home to work as a farmer and continue road grading. He worked for the local township for over 27 years grading and plowing snow, as well as helping in other townships and racetracks like Arlington and Redwood Raceways. Dick loved working, being outside, and was an active member with the American Legion in Lafayette. Above all else, Dick loved all the time he was able to spend with his wife, children, grandchildren, and all his family. He will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
