R. Warren Schnobrich

NEW ULM — R. Warren Schnobrich, age 82, of New Ulm, went home to be with his Savior on Friday, June 18, 2021. He passed away peacefully at his home in New Ulm, with his family by his side, after a 6-month battle with lung cancer.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Nathan Scharf will officiate and burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at church.

Warren is survived by his wife, Corrine; his sons, Gregg (Ronda) Schnobrich and Gordy (Kari) Schnobrich; his daughter, Julie (Vance) Donner; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Lenore (Bruce) Dickinson and Debra Whitcomb, and his brother Frank (Pamela) Whitcomb.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond; sister-in-law, Patricia Schnobrich and grandson, Wayne Schnobrich.

Robert Warren Schnobrich was born December 3, 1938 to Lenard and Mildred (Amundson) Schnobrich in New Ulm. Warren attended St. Paul’s Lutheran grade school and graduated from New Ulm High School. Warren was united in marriage to Corrine Diedrick on November 26, 1960 at the Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church. Warren worked as a machinist at Oster Mfg., Tachtronics and 3M and he drove truck for 40 years for Schugel, Dittrich, KDB, Del Goebel and various others; he also drove bus for MVL. Warren had a personality of wit and humor and he liked to help others. He enjoyed studying the bible, and also enjoyed gardening and sharing the harvest. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
