Darwin Allan Havemeier was born March 24, 1945 to Edwin Jr. and Ardella (Wills) Havemeier in New Ulm. He graduated from Nicollet High School in 1963 and began a lifelong career as a farmer and dairy farmer with his brother, Wayne. After retirement, Darwin worked eight years at Hewitt Roll-A-Dock in Nicollet. When he was not working, Darwin enjoyed going on fishing trips to Lake of the Woods with his friends, going hunting in Montana, riding Harley and competing in tractor pulls in his younger years, and playing cards with his own set of rules. Darwin especially loved all the time he was able to spend with his family, who were the pride and joy of his life. He will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
