Thomas “Tom” Manderfeld

Thomas (Tom) Raymond Manderfeld of St. Cloud and formerly of New Ulm passed away April 26, 2021 at his home.

Tom is survived by his daughter Laura Thompson (Mark) of Rochester, Thomas Manderfeld (Denise) of Sauk Rapids, Nick Manderfeld (Eloisa) of Springfield; grandchildren, Tristan Manderfeld, Ellie Manderfeld, Zachary Thompson, Carter, Xavier, Nicholas Manderfeld; a sister Pat Jones (Dave) of Green Bay, brother Rich Manderfeld (Barb) of St. Cloud, sister Karen Johnson (Keith) of North Fort Meyers, sister Claire Lage (Tom) of Apple Valley, and his many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Stan and Fran (Berg) Manderfeld.

Tom was born September 17, 1940 in New Ulm to Stan and Fran (Berg) Manderfeld. He attended and graduated from New Ulm Cathedral High School in 1958. He served as a firefighter in the United States Air Force.

Tom was employed by 3M, Tidland, and Manderfeld Lumber( New Ulm). He enjoyed his “retirement job” working for Care Cab providing transportation for patients with medical needs.

Tom loved sports and played baseball and won a Fast Pitch Softball State Championship with the Nicklasson Athletic team in 1964. He also played fast pitch, softball, and golf. He loved motor sports, racing, and was an avid motorcyclist. He was part of a race car pit crew in Florida.

Dad, we will miss you and our conversations about grandkids, sports, and life. May you look down upon us every day.

A small private family service is planned.
