Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

David is survived by his wife, Margret; their children, Jon (Rachel Sturm) Beck and Linda (George) Beranek; grandchildren, Bryce and Landon Beck, Audrey, Mark and Violet Beranek; brothers, James (Jane) Beck, Richard (Sue) Beck; sister, Diane (Dan) Abraham and brother-in-law, James Hesse.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie; mother-in-law, Verona Hesse and father-in-law, Walter Hesse.

David B. Beck was born April 13, 1949 to Roger and Caroline (Merk) Beck in New Ulm. He attended New Ulm Public High School. David was united in marriage to Margaret Hesse on September 18, 1971 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. He worked at the New Ulm Foundry and AMPI. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and a former member of Brown County Poultry and Pigeon Association. David enjoyed horses and his poultry and having coffee and socializing with his friends but above all else he loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
